What is the deal with the cost at $73.00 each, 25 household limit. Can someone tell me if these are all the same coin ? What am I missing ? or tell me why someone would buy at 73.00 from the mint vs PCGS 70 grade at $60.00 ? I must be missing something amateurish. Cheaper to buy them at Apmex ? https://catalog.usmint.gov/american...of-coin-21EAN.html?cgid=2021-product-schedule $73.00 at he MINT ! https://www.apmex.com/product/232453/2021-american-silver-eagle-ms-70-pcgs-fdi-type-2 $74.00 but graded or https://www.apmex.com/product/232456/2021-american-silver-eagle-ms-70-pcgs-firststrike-type-2 $60.00 or https://www.apmex.com/product/232457/2021-american-silver-eagle-ms-70-pcgs-fs-black-label-type-2 $62.00
thank you so much... that is why the Mint sales always go so fast.... Thus, if you send in for grading it comes back as MS70 PROOF ?
Not the same coin. The one offered by the Mint is a Proof from West Point (mirrored fields, frosted devices) which if sent in for grading would come back as PF68, 69 or 70 most likely. The coin offered by APMEX is a MS-70 graded business strike finish bullion coin.
OK, I gotta question........I'm already enrolled in the subscription for proof silver eagles. I received the other version, earlier this year. Will I receive this one automatically? Maybe I should ask the mint.
Kinda figured that..........says they're not available at this time. Guess we'll have to wait for the initial release.
It will be the first test run of the mints website for a relatively hot product since the Morgan release. Is anyone placing bets as to whether or not it's fixed? I'm tiring of all the bullion releases myself but this being the first of the new reverse, it's going to be in demand and will sell out fast. They'll be gone in 15-20 minutes.
If you have an enrollment, they should email you a couple weeks in advance to remind you to check your payment method. If you do not hear from them by the Thursday or Friday of this week, maybe give them a call to check.
