I don't know anything about coins. The coin seems to be made of pewter. I have looked for the word "copy" on this, but don't see anything like that .......

The coin says "Continental Currency 1776" with the sundial and "fugio" on one side .... which makes the coin seem real, but on the reverse ...

along with the 13 colonies the embossed parts say "one dollar" at the bottom, "1.00 mdse coin" at the top, and "SKALL'S" in the middle. And since I can't find anything on what "SKALL's" is I am assuming it's a fake. Right?

Pictures would probably help a lot, but it sounds like you have a token for $1 in merchandise (mdse) to be used at Skall's. I know these types of tokens are collected by some, but I'm not knowledgeable about their worth.
