Picked up up for $10 (with a Morgan for $20) which is a bit less than melt. Only one he had. Weight is 16.57 grams. Per NGC "correct" weight is 16.60 grams. Non-magnetic, passes magnetic coin slide test. Looks legit to me. I thought it was/is an interesting coin. Any thoughts appreciated.
Nice coin…Mexico has some very beautiful, intricate and interesting designs…and this is one of them. It looks authentic to me, I like both sides but favor the reverse…nice eagle…jmho…Spark
Regarding the authenticity of this particular coin, there's nothing to be worried about. 1934 is a relatively common date with a mintage of 22,070,000 according to Numista and Krause.
Hello Artarian, In 2019 that Peso had a catalogue value of $7.00 in XF-40...$15.00 in MS-60. I would guesstimate around $10+/- if you purchased it from a dealer. J.T.
Real/genuine. The challenge will come when silver hits $170 an ounce and you must then decide how attached you are to it.
I have a few of those. Thsts a really good example. I see some that just look like they should just get melted. When they pop like yours does they are hard to pass up. Good pick.
I really like the design on both sides. Hard to tell from your pics if it has been cleaned, but overall nice. Here is my 1922.
