The $5 (jim) Looks to be in a very nice condition!! I have a nice collection
Of these, But you immediately notice on this one the lack of year or
Serial number, I dont have any of this particular series though, So iam
Not sure if thats normal or not??

The fractional looks a little beat up looks like a 25 cent 3rd issue but there
Are 10 different variations so i couldnt even guess a value on this one!

This type of Japanese 5 peso note does not have a date or a serial number. The note is normal. It is fairly common and can often be picked up in a dealer's dollar junk box.

Thank you. They were impulse buys.
--The 5 peso cost $20. Picked it up because I had not seen one this nice before. Not sure how I feel about it now.
--The fractional is marked contemporary counterfeit on the holder. The dealer mentioned one tell-tale sign on this one is the hair. Anyone notice other give aways?

Noost I was just just going to say that note looked fake... here is the real deal...(Red Back)
The facial portion of that note and the overal engraving gave it away for me.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the JNDA values the 5 peso note at ¥300 (i~$3.27) in crisp uncirculated condition.

It's a 1942 series, the first Phillipine occupation currency issued.
