What do you have if you have a coin with some of the attributes of VAM 3-A, but not others. This coin has the clash mark from the neck...and the "T" in the hair, but doesn't have a dash under the second 8 and a couple other identifying marks.

I'm going to submit this one to PCGS. I got it in a lot of 20 mixed Morgans. What is your prediction of grade?

MS63 but like I said in the other thread, the edges look pretty bad on the obverse. TPGs tend to be a little more lenient on CC's in my opinion tho.. at least that's been my experience.

Yes, the rim is really mushy at 3 oclock and 9 oclock. Could it be that the die was damaged when they clashed, causing that condition. If that's the case, I would tend to think that die state should not affect grade.

    Thanks......

I can't answer your VAM question and you have a nice coin.
Is it just me or does your coin looked buffed? The reason I ask is that from the photos I see lines going in not the normal way you would see flow lines.

Anyhow, If you pay a few more bucks PCGS will note the VAM if it is.

I would say MS 62, but it might be a 63

It is not on the list of Morgans that PCGS will attribute, nor will NGC since it isn't a top-100 or Hot-50 VAM, so perhaps ANACS will be your best choice if you decide to slab.
