nice coin. I have a few from that era myself although not cc. I have always liked the look of the gold liberties.

Neighborhood dealer showed me a 72-cc AU slabed pcgs. I think to date thats the most expensive coin I held in my hand. A little out of my price range - for now ;)

By the way, your coins a beaut

I'm not really familiar with the series, but I just wondered, is the design supposed to have more detail on the olive branch leaves in the eagle's left talon? If so, that's the only sign of rub that I see to drop it from MS60 to AU58. If that's not it, what is the cause?

The enlarged picture enhances more detail then the coin in hand. This being my first Liberty coin ,I am learning myself. IMHO the coin has some wear on the obverse which would keep it from MS 60 grade. But still a beauty at 58. :)

The detail of the leaves, the hair over the ear and the tip of the crown.
