What is the best way to keep exra coins in spare tubes ?
Example washington quarters - in one tube 1960s , 1970s etc.
So when I need a certain coin that i have sold Iwould know where that coin may be .
I am just trying to get more organized for 2010, my den is a is a mess

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I don't know if there is any "right" answer here. Personally, I prefer the square tubes because they are easier to stack in my safe with a few of those silica gell moisture removers. I also keep them "laid down" so that the coins are side by side rather than stacked on top of eachother. I may just be paranoid, but I would think if kept vertical that the weight of the top coins on the bottom ones could cause some damage. Not sure if that's true, but it makes me feel proactive. :)
You can stick an avery label on the outside so you know what's what.

Your den may be a mess...I haven't had use of my dining room table for about three months now. :)

I know what you mean our spare dining table is covered year around with coins except holidays , besides our garage parents garage , and 20 x 20 storage buildinf full off things for the booth, plus now i am finishing the basement to refinish and upholstery old furniture,
I like your idea about the square tubes for coins, I have so much surpluss setting around i dont really know where to start, besides keeping inv. on the other items.thank you for your response.
