well, not necessarily. If you found an older coin with a masons symbol on it (for ex a wheat penny) You can sell them for $5 ~ $10 for a common date. I've seen them go for around these prices on ebay.
The Mason's were very careful to put their logo in place not to deface the coin early on. This one clearly does the opposite, not good, in my opinion.
mason penny, my great grandpa had about 30 of em, alas did not keep any when i gave up collecting and dealing back in 92 sold all my tokens (had about 500) and these were in with them..wish i would of kept em, they were all on wheaties dated from 1919 thru 39
