It has been a fun couple of months getting back into the hobby. My son has been very interested which has made it a blast. His name is Grant and for a long time I have been looking for a decent Grant Commemorative Half. Just difficult to find one that I like and hits our price range. Along with his membership I went ahead and gave him a roll of Grant presidential dollars I picked up at the bank, when they first came out. He is pretty excited to get his stuff from the ANA, does anyone know about how long that takes to be mailed out?
My son did their "Coins for A's" program. It took a couple of weeks for him to get the letter in the mail along with his coin. The letter had the ANA application in it and we filled it out and mailed it back but haven't heard anything. Been about 3 weeks since then.
It took about a month after I sent the application in for me to receive the coins and everything. There was some nice stuff in there like a 2019 US proof set. Unless its too late, I would recommend the Coins for A's program like @furryfrog02 mentioned.
Talk to me guys. What is this program? My coins will go to my grandson when I'm gone which might not be too many years from now. He is interested in the coin world but I would like to see him learn a lot more about the hobby. I dont want to see him taken advantage of if I'm not around for guidance. I cant teach him any more because he is in Michigan working for GM and I'm in Delaware. Just give me some info pls. Thanks in advance.
