No, I am not. I got some these from a local dealer. I purchased most of what he had left from a larger collection. I like researching the information they bring. Thanks for the ones in your postings, I have studied some of yours. Should I ask if you are from Hawaii?
That is one of the 8 states that I have not been to. I also purchased a larger collection and a large number of them were from Hawaii. I would like to visit one day. I was born and raised in Maryland, lived in Louisiana, Montana and Washington States. I currently reside in Pennsylvania with my second wife. Been here 18 years. It’s a nice area we’re we live.
Clubs and organizations in Pennsylvania are very active in issuing wooden nickels...probly more so than any other state except maybe California. It's almost inevitable that a serious collector would have a large number of them in their collection. Bruce
Hmmm, seems this thread deserves a little bump; found these along the way while reorganizing my forty-plus years of collecting "miscellaneous stuff" In the lower-right you find obverse/reverse of the birth announcement
I think collecting this kind of "stuff" is really interesting, tachwriter. I've collected in the past and still have a good selection of coin/token related wooden money...nickels, dollars and flats. Bruce
