We just finished up a family trip to the east coast, with stops in Boston, NYC, and a lengthy stay in Maine. One of the highlights of our trip was a stop at Stack's. Nothing of note to be purchased, that would fit into our collection or was in our price range. But they treated our family like royalty. They made sure my son left with a Red Book of US Coins as well as a Morgan Red Book. The boy does fancy toned coins and they did have a gorgeous Morgan for sale, just a little out of his range. We will definitely be following their auctions to fill the holes we have in our collections.
Especially Heritage/HA...they look down their nose way too much/too often when I dealt with them (which I don't do anymore)...my experience.
The entrance was just an unassuming storefront in Manhattan. We were greeted by a security guard who buzzed us in. It is a very small lobby for customers with a limited amount of coins displayed for sale. There was some seating and a small library of numismatic books that could be viewed.
