Blatant fake 1890 CC morgan copy. Details on front and reverse are wrong with bad angles being used to hide that its an obvious counterfeit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/234040134341?hash=item367de10ac5:g:QKgAAOSwEdRguijJ
It might not be silver though, and it does not appear to be marked as a copy. The pictures are too small to what it is.
Well, I'm late, it's down. Going only off your descriptions, as that's all I got, if it wasn't marked "copy" on the coin, the seller's listing it's a "copy" was a clever marketing way of avoiding saying it's a "counterfeit."
If it is like this counterfeit Proof American Silver Eagle, it's not made of silver. This thing had some sort of a silver plating on it was that was rapidly going bad. The cloudy patches were growing by the day. There was base metal under it.
I have a Silver Eagle that has COPY clearly and neatly placed on the coin. It was given to me as a bonus coin on a purchase I made at a local dealer. Sorry for your frustration, good luck.
