    Here is my newest Roman Glass Bottle. A beautiful bottle with lots of color to it. It’s about 6” high.

    Yes, TLC is required for these. I have a few of them and one more on the way. All different and all unique. I soak them in warm water to get some of the dirt off but I never scrub them clean. That’s why they all have some dirt on them.

    These are called unguentaria and were probably used to keep and pour different kinds of ointments.

    They are very fragile. Even cleaning all the dirt off the bottle can cause it to break in your hands.

    I've sort of wanted one and also one of the ceramic lamps, but after breaking a porcelain coin a few years ago that fragile stuff can go to other personal museums.
