This coin is for sale right now on eBay and it fits pefrectly into my collection but I know next to nothing about bust dollars other than the fact that there are a lot of fakes out there. So I'm looking for opinions here on the coins authenticity before I pay what this coin will sell for. Is there anything here that looks wrong? Thanks for your opinions.

    Cave Troll,

Except for the hell of a big "0" between the "8" and "1" in the Date on the Obverse and through the "T" and "E" in STATES on the Reverse, I would say that it appears to be authentic! I don't see anything out of the normal or anything that would stick out to tell me that it is a fake. It is a shame that someone holed a perfectly good Fine coin worth quite a bit over $1,000 and turned it into scrap silver!

I think I can say for sure that the coin is dated 18O1 ;) ;)
After looking at the photos I think its alright...but wait till one of the "guys" comes by...

It will sell for somewhere between $350 and $500, so it's worth something more than "scrap silver" and to a collector of "holey" coins it is fabulous! Thanks for your opinions guys!
