I know that there are many varieties of these dimes. What I can't seem to find is any information on the 1838 with a rotated reverse. This dime also has the doubling of the O in one and the D in dime. Also the word STATES is doubled. I can see no die cracks. Sorry I do not have a photo, but I took it to a dealer who said he would grade it at AU. I want to have it professionally graded but which service should I use, PCGS or NGC. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
I think to determine value, pictures will need to be seen, and we would probably need to find some other example of what it is you are talking about. As for who to send it in to... I'd go PCGS.
