I went to the local coin show this morning and in addition to a Peace Dollar and a Morgan, I picked up a few cheap world bills. They didn't hurt the wallet at all, most were a buck or two except for the large-sized "Dominion Of Canada" note (it was just over $20). I like the engraving on the Canadian and the German notes and I like the muted colors on the French ones.
All great additions, I love that 1st 10 and the 2nd 10 isn't bad either even if it is a bit worn. Congrats!!! Darryl
Man...that last 10 reminds me of someone..just can't put a finger on it at the moment. Very cool... RickieB
When you find something that you really want! And then get a deal on it! That makes it extra special!!
that is a common trend I have seen in many US currency collectors. They dont personally collect world paper money, but that sure doesnt mean that they love looking at world paper money. One of my favorite things about the older french 'notes is the art they use throughout it. It really makes money like a form of art (which in my eyes it truly is).
Nice pick up on the notes. I too like the look of those French notes as they look like Tapestry's on a wall of some castle
I think I was commenting to someone else on the amazing colors of the French notes. Imagine what US notes would look like if the BEP had put more emphasis on color when they started printing our paper money.
