I am not an old coin guy... wheats are my specialty... I picked up a nice little collection from a guy today ended up with a lot of foreign coins... Most I was able to identify... All but this one... The pictures aren't great, just spur of the moment but should be sufficient... Thanks in advance... By the way, the owner said he thought it was associated with VA. Beach... Based on the little I know of coins, it looks like a replica of some old coin, made cheaply for sale to tourists...
I do not know what coin that is, but by looking at the lettering on the first picture it looks like the coin it was based on is of Hebrew origins.
From what I can find it looks this coins was based on a coin from the Bar Kokhba revolt http://www.archaeological-center.com/en/auctions/37-043 So I assume this must be some type of modern commerative token or medal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_Kokhba_revolt
