Not my coin but based on these pics will she make AU-50 you think?
Personally I think so. At least based on the pics. Screen Shot 2021-05-27 at 8.50.08 PM.png Screen Shot 2021-05-27 at 8.49.38 PM.png

I think AU50 is a fair grade to give the coin. It would be better than AU50 if there weren't those dings on the obverse though IMO.

It should be an AU 50, but just barely. There is a lot of wear in the high places. On any given day, it could grade XF 45 just as easily.

That is why I think it should probably be XF 45.

I think rigor is about to set in. This thing looks dead.

Too much wear in the hair for a 53.

Knowing how there pics look I think it’s probably nicer than the pics indicate but they have return privy if not . It’s AU 50 money though so that’s my main concern. It’s tough to find a decent one though that’s not more than I care to spend anyways

It's a candidate for a details grade based on those pics, is what I'm saying. Whether it's EF45 Details or AU50 Details, just be aware, it may have issues grading sraight-away.

It’s possible most there photos look like this on there eBay store and there website , I think the picture quality may make it look flat they list a ton of stuff and are very reputable. That said though it’s possible as it’s not in my hand so I don’t really know haha. The last coin from them the pictures where similar but the coin was nice with good natural color .

My first thought was XF-45. It may even be as low as a 40. I think AU-50 is high.

Look at the description in your Red Book for AU and XF. No way is it an AU due to the eagles feathers. That’s why I’m at a XF-45. And the XF-40 is a bit low but it depends on the grader.

With that keep in mind not all coins are struck equally though I think it’s AU-50 I also think it’s borderline XF-45

My first thought was XF45. It’s a better date so that might push it to AU50 if the grader is having a good day but I’d call it a 45.

    1893 Philly’s aren’t normally weakly struck.
