Found my first BIE. :) Ordered a couple of rolls of unsearched wheaties for $12 - this was about a third of the way into the first roll.

For a minute I thought there was an S mintmark next to the D - then I had to spoil it by zooming in. :)

There is no such thing as an "unsearched" roll of anything.

hah, good point. Ok, a 'roll of wheaties' which apparently was not searched well for BIE errors. :)

I named it that because that's how they listed it on ebay. The gullibility of newbies.

If you are starting a collection of Wheat Cents the rolls you are looking at are fine. They usually have a great assortment of dates and mints. Good luck with your collection.

I have mentioned elsewhere, but people are turning them in. Or selling or using should I say. Will increase. So ask your cashier if they have a half dollar etc. Ask bank for coin rolled by people turning them in and some banks are accepting them. I’m sure y’all know that. Just a reminder.

That would definitely be cheaper than my approach. Good idea!

Thanks! I noticed that all the wheat pennies I was pulling out of the back yard looked like crap. :) Thought it would be nice to start collecting a better quality from circulation.

Yes... my husband is in retail and if he has to go to the bank for store they give him coins people have rolled. But usually the store has their coin orders from the vault of their armored car orders.

Except when someone is trying to sell them online as such.
