I want to get a digital microscope to grade coins better and take better pictures. Currently I am just using my phone for pictures and a the "60x Currency Detecting Microscope" pictured below. Does anyone know of a good one for under $100? Thanks!
My Mustcam 5 Mega falls short. Paid around $50-$60 on feebay as I recall. It's like the LEDs are off to the left and the camera brightens the left field more than the right. I've played with shimming the legs at different heights but haven't gotten it to my liking. Also would be really nice to get one with digital rather than manual focus.
This is the USB scope I have and I'm pretty happy with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085XZVFGT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Somehwere I posted a thread with pictures from it. Of course I can't find it now.
Here is a photo of my $40 set up. The Morgan is on the plate under the microscope and the image is on my desktop monitor. It is all captured as a photo. It is a Mustcam.
The stand is one that I had from an different cam. You need a taller one to get the full coin when they are larger, like the Morgan Dollar size. That is the only big issue with most of these scopes.
