I'll do you one better, MS66 Clean strike, beautiful luster, clean fields on both obverse and reverse, slight toning on the reverse. Beautiful coin.
Now we are talking! I am going to guess an MS 66. Starting with the obverse I feel the luster is full and pronounced. Contact mark potentially in the field above the Y. Strike is good and full and I feel there is not enough clearness if the fields and definition of the hair curls to warrant a 67. Reverse is not full bands from the picture, but could look different in hand as I know that sort of detail is difficult to capture digitally. Good lineation of the vertical bands though I would still imagine more definition and detail of a better strike for a 67. Luster still booming, and I stand by obverse statement for field not being as clear for a 67. So, with reasoning detailed above, I guessed 66. Beautiful coin!
Just to be clear, is this a second coin of the same grade as the initial or same coin with different photos?
I'm going to say 64, the bottom bands seem to merge, but it could just be glare so I'll say no fb. Coin 2 looks fb and sharper details to me
I like the luster of the first better, but the hair curl details on the second more. I like the field in the first more than the second as the area between B and E, near the Y and under Trust is distracting to me. Still, may be toning or the way it was minted. I don't think the second coin is FB, and still stand by no FB for the first given the photos, but the definition of the vertical bands appears more defined on the first compared to second. In short, still standing by my opinion, even if I am wrong. 66 on the first and 65 on the second.
I appreciate your opinion and knowledge. They both graded the same by NGC, but I have definite feelings about one of the two, which I will reveal at the end.
I think it’s a MS-67 FB. Extremely nice with great luster. Only a few minor dings. To me it’s a 67 and the bands are separated enough to give it a full band designation.
I would've thought coin 2 got the better grade. If you said pick one and it's yours I'd take the 2nd. Looking at the pics even the lettering is sharper on the 2nd ( but my eyes aren't the best)
MS 66 ....looks to have blazing luster but a few hits in the fields prevent me from going to 67...I went with not FB because the middle bands look to be merged together (although the photo is blurry in that area, so that could be what I'm seeing and then it is FB)
