Anyone seen one of these before? I'm guessing it is from a toy set or some gimmick from a tourist trap. Not really sure. I can't get a real close up but it almost looks plastic. I'm just guessing. The larger one is reference to another penny.
Can't see nothing with that picture. You should post a better pic if you want someone be able to help you.
I figured it might have just been something people have seen around before. Since the size difference is substantial. My wife helped me out and showed me the Macro setting. How is this? You can see a little bit of "extra" at the very top of the first picture. Hence why I might think it is plastic...I guess I could just take it out and do some more tests.
If you can tell me what to look for I sure can try. In the Chit Chat section I posted in a thread called New House. Basically it is a 1877 coin that I found in the house as a kid. Never knew anything about it but held onto for the last 15 or so years. I've never taken it out of the case that it is in. It looks like it doesn't have any wear what so ever. It might be becuase of its super small size but it just looks in to good of shape to be a real coin or to have ever been circulated.
There was a movie on TV a few days ago about head hunters and how they schrunk heads. I'll bet someone tried it with coins first and you found it. Try ordering a coin stretcher and see if you can restore it. :hammer: Actually I've seen those on forums for a long time and never did hear a really good explanation of who or why those are made.
