    It looks like a Thai baht which don't have dates most of the times. Maybe it's worth $2.00 tops but you better wait for one of the pros in that area to answer you.

    Correct.
    About as wrong as it's possible to be!The date on everyThai coin is in - surprise, surprise - Thai characters. My reference books aren't available at the moment so I can't read the date, or coordinate it with the western calendar, but it most definitely is there.

    Value? Extremely common cu-ni coins don't rank very high on the value charts and are often found in dealers' five-for-a-dollar plates.

    Thailand 5 Baht, Y#98. Year should be 2515 (1972). Worth? Krause says 0.30 USD in VF...

    And yes, its Cu-Ni :)
