Barbados 1976FM Matte 10 Dollars, Artistic and Rarity In a Big Package

    I go this coin, not long ago, the 1976FM Matte Uncirculated 10 Dollars. With Poseidon on the reverse a very pleasant looking coin with a mintage of 250 pieces that were released into circulation channels.
    The coin is copper nickel and certainly fairly scarce to rare, much moreso than the silver proof or the Prooflike coin that came in the packaged mint sets:

    Great piece, I like the FM coinage despite the number of retractors out there. As you can see, I have had the Sterling silver proof as my avatar for some while

    Yes, I quite agree. IMO the engraving and execution were tremendous on these. I also like the Panama FM gold coins in the 20B-100B with the wildlife and Native American motifs. I have really kept my hobby interests by chasing after the currency pieces that actually did circulate to some degree - that was after getting all the proof sets.

    Yes, indeed it is the Franklin Mint.

    LOL, melt on the OP coin is about 30 cents! I think you may mean a silver proof?
