Busted open a roll of quarters yesterday at work and looked down to find a 1963D silver quarter. Woohoo! I freaking love finding silver for free.
Ah yes... the one thing I miss about running the cash register at one of my old jobs. It's probably the main reason why I used to have an easier time finding all the new dates too!
Stuff seems to be out there. A guy, who works with me also part time at McDonald's told me someone brought an old $100 bill in recently. The Manager collects and despite his $120 offer, she would not let him have it. The only thing he could tell me about this bill was it was old and looked like monopoly money. He was trying to get it for me. She did let him have a 1964 dime which he brought to me. I gave him a $1.00 for it but all he wanted was a dime. I did not have any change and I appreciated the thought. I have found a number of Wheaties and a 1940 dime recently. Couple of guys brought in one walker half each. Both said they got them in change. One guy I believe but the other I doubt. One advantage of being the only coin collector in your company, people often bring coins to show you. Nice find boxerchip. It is great to find these circulating coins.
