Question on 1992 obverse

    The "2" in the date appears to be the only digit that has a "shelf like" look to it. The rest of the date looks normal. Is this a case of machine doubling?

    Looks that way. What's the reverse look like? Is the AM close together?

    It is absolutely MD. For a good example, check out the photos I posted on the "1984-P LMC... Opinions please??"thread. Clear as day, but was hoping to get someone who thought different :) Sure.. technically MDs/SDs have no value above face, but check out eBag and see what some people get for them. Of course they never say it's MD.... always DD, at least from what I've seen. Was always curious as to if the buyers really know what they are getting.....

    Many 1990, 91, & 92 have types of mechanical/machine

    Many 1990, 91, & 92 Lincoln's have types of mechanical/machine doubling and extra thickness or spread that will fool newcommers. After you have seen several 100,00 you learn to see these as normal for the years/type.
