A beautiful FBL Franklin Half. Completely raw and you could see the bell lines if I could get them all in without washing them out. This coin is just to clean and shiny to make that happen.

You can put together a set of Franklins For a fairly inexpensive price. However if you chose to have them all look like this some of them are going to cost you a small fortune.

No kidding. I still am taken back by how much really nice Franklin's bring these days.

I have 3 lower grade sets and I need 6 more coins to complete my high end set. I’ve paid more for a single high grade coin than a full set. All but a few can be found in decent shape in junk silver and those can still be cheap in lower grades.

I hate to hijack this thread but.....being a novice I am trying to figure out if this is a FBL. When looking at it with a 30x loop you can distinctly see all three lines top and bottom but without the loop right next to the "crack" the bottom lines are very faint. Any help would be appreciated. If you’re using a 30x to see them it’s not FBL. The coin I posted was taken with no enhancements or magnification. Both NGC and PCGS have a different standard for grading it FBL. Best to read up on it.

Indeed agree. And not to hijack the hijacked :woot: but what make/kind of camera did you use for those...? Thx.

Same but my ex stole it. So I put another one together from junk silver. Now working on a high grade.

Very nice example. FBL is what I would expect on a '48-P. :)

And I also have two Dansco albums and one Library of Coins complete.
