So the bank calls me to tell me my bulk currency order is in to pick up as I sell packs of $1 and $2 bills on eBay to keep busy in my retirement. The teller said they had a surprise for me and boy did they. Two blocks of $1 bills, all star notes! COWABUNGA!!! So since a new order goes in Friday, I told them to order two more blocks to see if I get this lucky again. Never happened like this before. Usually maybe one or two packs in a block.
Wow. Nice buy. What bank? Not looking to cut in, just curious as my local banks NEVER get new bills, just bundled used notes.
I have a good relationship with my local Wells Fargo branch and have been doing this for years so they are very helpful. Now and then I will get used bills instead of new but 99% of the time it's new.
How do you sell them on eBay? (If you don't mind sharing.) For example, how can you sell them with enough of a markup to be worthwhile with taxes, fees, shipping, and scammers?
I have a store so the fees are a little lower. I don't make a lot of money but I have a few people that order from me outside of ebay so I make more money there. But I just enjoy doing it and sometimes I find good stuff like today.
Thanks for the reply. I guess they deal with the Federal Reserve, unlike my banks here in Helena that get their currency through N. Dakota and never any new notes.
