To me it doesn't really matter there all basically the same and nothing is %100 air tight/preventable but go with whatever fits you.

I like the ones with the rounded edges.

The important thing is to buy the correct holder for a proper fit. The direct fit are great for most coins but the ring style may be needed for other coins.

    Yep. True words

I like the round, no foam ones too.
I bought 'entrust' brand ones recently for nickels and was not really satisfied. But time will tell.

I've had many ASEs in BCW branded ones and they are brilliant.

Air-Tite is a specific brand name, so there's only one. They come in two styles: direct fit and ring style. I strongly recommend the ring style, particularly if you plan to use them for world coins.

    And welcome to CoinTalk.

Direct fit air tites look nicer IMO, but they do have a tendency to get stuck onto the coins. I had some with my Morgan dollars encased in them and had to use a hammer (very risky) to get them out.

Your best bet are the ones with the foam inserts. The square ones with two pieces are good too but they aren't as presentable IMO.

There's another way to get them out quite easily. Hold the half of the capsule that the coin is stuck in, with the exposed coin side facing down. Then use a hair dryer to blow on the capsule (not on the exposed coin). Within 15-30 seconds, the coin will just drop out. So make sure you hold it on top of a towel or something. This worked for me many times.

Very smart compared to my pocket knife strategy :nailbiting:

Well, I now know which ones to not get. I can't get one single Morgan to fit :rage:

I also ordered 1 of the Air-Tite branded ones and there is a small amount of wiggle room.
