Is Carausius holding a sceptre here?

    A bit of a long shot here, but is Carausius holding a sceptre on this coin, or is it just some hair behind the bust?

    From here, @Victor Clark is spot on about the part that's in the left obverse field. But the aggregate effect of a sceptre includes the diagonals which are continued on the shoulder. That part is looking like a common type of Roman armor --almost stereotypical, but appropriately so, including the time frame of Carausius-- composed of narrow metal plates.
