I won this auction for less than $100, from a seller in Ukraine. I don't know much about medieval coins, but I do like them, I have a few, and now I have a lot which will be a lot of fun to sort through and interesting to learn about. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not this was a good deal and / or any recommendations for research sources? medlot1.jpg medlot2.jpg medlot3.jpg medlot4.jpg

From what I can make out, there are numerous solidi from Swedish Livonia and what appears to be several coins from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth mixed in.

Edit: I'd highly recommend utilizing Numista in attributing these coins once you receive them.

Edit: Assuming this will be the lot you receive, there's a Polish coin from the 19th Century in the lot you purchased.

Can't be bad - once you have separated the wheat from the chaff, you can probably sell the rest in a flea market for a minimum of 5 or 10$ each.

Looks like a really fun lot, enjoy looking through all those coins and identifying them! I do see a lot of Polish Commonwealth and Swedish Livonian coins in there, most of which are quite common and not exactly high-dollar items. However, for less than a buck each you definitely got a good price. I do see some Arabic/Ottoman coins as well.
