Bad coin juju, any experience?

Yes, that's a real question.
I got this in the mail yesterday.

I was going to carry it for a few weeks with these to see how she wears.

Since I've been carrying the Walkers, I've been doing well with my hunts. Do i carry the coin alone the first day to see what luck she brings? Rather than mixing her with 2 coins that have already brought me luck and she may taint them? Don't worry, i already called and texted the psych ward, they'll get back to me by lunch, as usual.

Okay, so I'm not from the Psych ward. What kind of hunting are you doing ?

(And you may not be from the psych ward, but I'm pretty sure, you and me could share a room there, if you'd like, lol)

 

Where do you hunt? Coin Stars? Parking lots? Park lands? Beaches?

 

I get large quantities of loose change on a daily basis. I "hunt" through those. I've done pretty well for myself lately.

 

Take the Walkers out of your pocket and see if anything changes in your "hunt".

 

Why tempt fate? If it ain't broke, don't fix it? All that good stuff. I'm fully aware of how this all sounds, and i am actually a very rational, clear thinking adult, in certain circumstances. I'm just looking to see if numismatists are superstitious, or just believe in the solidity of the physical coin.

 

ju ju is voodoo. What you are describing is the law of attraction used in sympathetic magic and dowsing. You can get a quick tutorial from a yippy search if you don't want your superstitions to be mined from the internet. Belief is more important than reality. If you think that you can or think that you can't you are right both ways.

Here's my opinion (even tho' you probably don't want it lol)
If you're going through tons of loose change on any given day you are not going to find anything different based on what you carry in your pocket that day...
The coins sitting in front of you waiting to be searched are all going to stay the same whether you have those 3 coins in your pockets or not, that's how I feel about it

It all boils down to this: Do you believe in luck? Or is everything going to happen as it would have no matter what we do about it? Interesting question and I'm not sure I have the answer lol

I'm here asking your opinion, please! Now, are you sure about that, coins will be coins, no matter what, theory? I'm not so sure. After i started finding W quarters, i really needed a "war in the pacific", and i looked down, and there one was, reverse looking at me, i said to myself, @CoinJockey73, wouldn't it be nice if that was a W? And it was! I now have 5 of them. I think there may be some magic in them there beans, i mean, coins. Hasn't happened since, by the way.
