I saw this sold listing on the bay. This looks like bad PMD to me but I want to see what you guys think. IDK why anyone would pay $24 for it...

Unfortunately online we have reached 'critical mass' in the sense that if you put just about anything out there at a reasonable seeming price you're likely to eventually run into someone willing to buy it who is totally uninformed.
It's the new version of how telemarketing was done in the early 1980's when I was a YN...although the telemarketers weren't targeting victims with coins very much lol.

I wish I had a tattered enough moral fiber to cash in on the idiots buying this rubbish...

And it’s in every profession in this day and time. For me, I’m not purchasing anything unless I was ever to go to an auction or a hope to be “legit” coin shop. Just like buying anything online, it’s cruel what some can do and will. There are good people out there, many, but the ones that cause that doubt makes it tough.

I'm not surprised. If they had posted it on Etsy, it would have sold for thousands. LOL

I doubt if any of those "errors" posted on Etsy for thousands of dollars ever actually sell.

I would not give them a nickel for it. Hell they would have to give me half a cent to take it off their hands. One from the 1800's would do.

Ebay is in error for allowing it to be posted, in my opinion.

To be clear, Sellers on Ebay are able to pretty much do anything they wish including Blocking Buyers for no reason and this crap which is showing a sale that NEVER happened so they don't look like idiots for listing a trash item in the first place or relisting the same after it never sold either because it crap or they were asking too much. This is a save face feature Ebay has allowed these Sellers with NO retail sense to use. The most prevalent is the high price that will never be paid and these Sellers keep relisting over and over but, they show it was Sold then, they relist another yet, no sale was ever recorded according to Ebay. Pardon me but, some Sellers on Ebay either have no experience in coins, just started selling or just plain don't care. Regardless, ignorance and stupidity are rampant on Ebay.

I’ve never seen a cud like that before. Definitely damaged and eBay should be held accountable for allowing that to be sold as an error.

Show us both sides when you get it, please.

Will it be dented outwards on the reverse? Inquiring minds want to know.
