    Hey guys,

I have a number of slabs which are bit scratchy. Sending 'em in for reslabbing is expensive and s-l-o-w.

Do you guys have any suggestions for making my slabs all bright and shiny again ? I want to get great photography, but it can't be done with scratchy slab.

Forgive me if this topic has already been covered.

brasso and a soft cloth and a little elbow grease will do wonders for scratched plastic, makes the scratches pretty much dissappear

I've been able to polish out even the deepest of scratches from PCGS and NGC holders using Meguiar's PlastX which is a product designed to polish out scratches on car headlights:

I bought the bottle for around $7 from the local auto supply place and it'll last a lifetime for use on slabs. PCGS slabs clean up fairly easily, but for deep scratches you have to repeat the process a few times and rub pretty hard. NGC slabs, especially the newer ones, are harder plastic and take a bit harder rubbing but the product works. Haven't found a scratch I couldn't handle yet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED before spending the money on reholdering fees and shipping.
