I picked this up unslabbed, but think I did all right. What grade range do you think it will fall into?
Removed mint marks are common on these. One of the diagnostics is that there should be gouges beside the eagles left (viewers right) leg. https://www.ngccoin.com/news/articl...ge gouge is visible,present, the coin is fake.
I'm not qualified to say on any of that. To me, it looks genuine. I agree with F15. It's cleaned and cut a little. If it is the key, it had a hard life for one, I'll give it that. I'd also say it needs to be in a slab.
The odd thing is that (due to scarcity at all grades) there isn't much of a price difference between a G4 & a VF35 for this year.
