My first shooting taler

    Here is my first shooting taler. It's a 1939 5 franc. The subject is the 1939 Federal Shooting Festival in Lucerne. Please let me know what you think of it, even though the pictures aren't great.

    I have threatened to buy a shooting thaler for awhile now, I just haven't found one I want. They are wonderful, and in some cases, very rare.

    Excellent first shooting medal BigH, good choice.

    Save your money, they also minted this one in gold and it's a beauty.
