It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like there is some wear, which is actually pretty rare for a '84-CC.

CT shrunk the pics because they were too big, the limit is 250 kb, if you want to post larger photo try an image hosting site like photobucket, and link the pics from there.

The reverse looks much better then the obverse, it looks like there's some light rub on the cheek and hair, so I'll say AU58.

    I'll say MS60.

I just bought an 1884-CC GSA Morgan and thanks to a friend who is a Morgan specialist I now know that I have:

    1) The high "4" variety
    2) A VAM 3A counterclash on the obverse
    3) An undocumented reverse die break

Best of all I think it may grade MS-64. I'll post photos when I get a chance, it's been pretty busy at work lately.

I'd say AU-53, possibly cleaned. there is not enough luster and there is too much wear on the face for MS.

Is the die break on the top leaves of the branch? If so, it's mentioned in the VAM-3 listing, VAM-3A is just a subvariety of VAM-3. I've got a 3A too, there's also some pretty strong doubling on the 1 in the date.

I'll try and photograph the 84-CC on Monday and post the photos here. I would definitely welcome comments on it from another Morgan expert.

There is slight wear on both sides. I would say AU-50 or 53.

Exactly what I thought , pretty much all the '84-CC were bagged and sold in the GSA sales in the 70s .
