Saercher54 the star note is from the 2003A series. And the silver certificate is from the 1957 series wich make three with this one, two 1957 and one 1957A. One question were do you find out were it was printed?

Look at the obv plate #, if it has a fw-to it, it's printed in Fort Worth, Texas, if not then it's printed in Washington DC. Get these books:1. "Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money 1928-to Date", by John Schwartz and Scott Lindquist, and "United States Paper Money Grading Standard" by Herbert J. Kwart. This can help you with all your questions on any type currency. Hope this helps you. :)-O) If you find a star $1.00 printed in Washington, DC series 2003A, KL#4671B*, the Paper Money Market Guide from Bank Note Reporter has a suggested price of F=$5.00, XF=$20.00, CH CU=63 $100.00, GEM CU=65 $125.00. Now there is value in searching for star notes. :)-O)

They used to be about $200 in UNC.

Thanks saercher 64 for the info on that book. And the dollar bill has a D. so I guess it was made in Washington.
