Would this pass as Fair or Poor ?

I don't know much about coin cleaning but it appears something was applied around the date area, the scan doesn't show to well.

if it was in good conditon g4 about 100, its hard to say it good coin to have and a key date buy its pretty banged up, iam sure it has some small value.

Goods go for $50 - $80 on Heritage. Yours does not rate that and it is acid restored. I don't know what they go for, but if someone offered $5, I would take it in a flash.

I do not use a book. What difference does what the book says mean. None are current. Look for yourself http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=68014&Lot_No=61200. And that one is considerably better shape than the OP's BEFORE the acid date. The only acid date selling I know of was a 1913-S type II went for ~$10 and it actually looked like a Buffalo in stead of a flat chunk.

With the information provided from RLM and the pictures provided of the coin in question, I would say you'd be lucky to get ANY kind of money for this coin.

    Also, eno,
Values aren't determined by a "book" they are determined by the current market value, or the going price, of the coin. Eno, reality is this coin isn't worth much. If you won't sell to RLM, I bet RLM would LOVE to sell to you!

This coin is good for a harris or whitman album of buffalos. And I think someone overpaid at 6.50 - to me all the hairlines on it made it worse that the original coin in this post. So RLM did some good research for you. I don't see the acid etching that RLM see's, but he knows more about these than I do.
