I'm sorry to read that. Mr.baseball has opinions. One of his replies to me was priceless. I don't recall him crossing any line that would cause him to be ignored. He has added some good content to this thread.
Go to the USMint.gov site and log in to your account. Recent orders will show your item and a tracking number. Cut and paste the number into the USPS tracking system. Not convenient, nor a solution to the broken links in your e-mails, but it will allow you to track your purchase.
Agree with you. I think I have only put one or two people on my "Ignore" list since I have been on her.
I wish they wouldn't throw fuel onto the fire by constantly stating that their customers are very important to them as you wait for thirty minutes for someone you can't understand to hang up on you.
I will give them credit for responding to an email I sent them in a way that did not read like a form letter. Still they did not address the fundamental issue of what happened to the set and why my order number is useless. “We are looking into it.” Okay are you going to resolve it? Who knows? They won’t do anything until May 11.
I have put a few on ignore over the years. Those have been members that just come here to pick fights and beat the hell out of others with insults. Some of those don't act that way in person face to face. It's just the way they act behind the keyboard. After a while I remove them from ignore. I don't have anyone on ignore as of now. The shortage of workers has hurt a lot of companies. At work, we have to contact customer service folks several times a day and it is taking about a week to receive any type of answer. It's really tough to keep track of all the open issues. Lets hope for improvement by the end of the year. I have a fun story about the mint but can't type it all out right now. Maybe later today.
I got an email from the mint today that my set has been shipped. The first notice was on April 27. This message reached me on May 9. That means that the package “sat on the cart” for 12 or 13 days. Delivery day is projected to be Wednesday.
I found once I started an ignore list, it kept getting larger until I was talking to myself. An intelligent conversation for sure, but it serves no purpose. So I took everyone off ignore and simply shunned the stupid, inane and often unnecessarily vulgar comments and mined worthwhile comments from the ore through refinement.

Wow, with all this talk about "ignore list", I checked mine & found I have 52 on the list! Did a spot check & noticed a majority of them haven't been seen in over a year or more! It works for me...(now wondering if anyone is going to see this response...)
I guess I've been feeling nostalgic, as I've been dealing with my estate and thinking back to my childhood. We have become a society of "Want it NOW," and "I don't have time to wait" (instant gratification) with this computer era. I'm old enough to remember when companies didn't even have customer service phone lines and "snail mail" was the only way to resolve issues. Some times I sort of wish we would go back to the days before computers, when we actually talked to people, rather than email or text message them. The kids played outside and read books. We got to know our neighbors. A lost way of life. I live without phone service and don't regret it when I read these types of post. We should start a "Day without a phone" day and see how it goes. LOL
Just to add my input to this question about the mint shipping system. Being notified that your order was shipped doesn't always mean it was actually shipped. All it means is they have processes your order and it waiting to be picked up by the US post office. Sometimes the post office won't pick it up for a few days to as long as a week. The first time it happened to me was many years ago and it took over two weeks from the time I was told it was shipped before I actually received my order. I've run into the same thing at a major auction house. I've been notified my coin was shipped but when I go to check it's progress I find out the auction house has only notified the post office they have a shipment ready to be picked up. The post office isn't going to send a truck to pick up one item. They may have an arrangement that they will pick up a group of something like 100 orders at the same time. The US mint won't run to the post office with one proof set. The post office may have a requirement that they will only pick up the shipment with the number of items reaches 100. I assume the same thing is what happens at the auction house. Although, I think they should wait to tell you when the post office takes ownership of the order but, as long as you understand that telling you the order was shipped doesn't actually mean the post office has your order.
you have me nervous now for all the upcoming silver dollar tributes that are to be released soon.it should be an adventure to land one.
I was one of the lucky one to purchase a 2021 ASE Proof in February. Took a month in the mail, 3 nasty planchet chips (PR68DCAM), and you can't return it because it's all sold out.
I had a problem with signing in with the Mint, so I emailed them and they gave me a process to go through. What actually happened was I set up a new account. That was the first of the year. Now, all my items that are enrolled, I'm getting double. I got a double Proof Set, Silver Proof Set, (crap. my cat sat on my keyboard.) and the Silver Presidential Medal (whoever that was). I did get only one American Silver Eagle for 2020W. I gave the duplicate to my son. It hasn't been too bad. I did only get one Tuskegee Airmen Puck and a 2020 Limited Silver Coins Set. I'm not going to get it stopped until I get something I absolutely don't want double of. I am worried about the pre-ordering of the the 2021 Morgan and Peace coins. I believe it will sell out long before the closing date. Anyway, I found the best way to get info from the Mint is to email them. It may take a week for an answer, but you will get an answer. My 2 cents. Lov ya guyz!!
In the past I had one member on my ignore list. After a few weeks I figured there could be something to learn from that person, so I removed him from the list. I like having the choice whether to read a post or not. Edit. I bought the 2021 Silver Proof Set and returned it a day later. I felt cheated by the skimpiness of the set.
