Lucky Pickup on Ebay - 1876 Lausanne Shooter

This one was a sleeper auction on ebay scheduled to end at 10PM this past Thanksgiving weekend Saturday. I set a max bid and prayed.

I believe the end price was very attractive and this has upgrade potential. The detail on obverse is perfect with even toning. The scratches if any are on slab. I may just re-submit this one.

That is one great coin. So many points to wear, but with no wear and that vintage, that is really some coin. Congrats

 

Zohar, you are lucky I normally restrict myself to Schutzenfest medals designed by Holy Freres, Huguenin and Hans Frei and minted after 1900. I saw this and was VERY tempted to bid but I decided to pass.

I would leave it as-is but it does look like it may be MS-64 to me. The toning is very attractive too.
