@tartanhill - In the past couple of years, better ones have been coming out of the Balkans and Cyprus, often changing hands over a certain well-known auction site. What I find off-putting about this example is the evident crudeness of design in certain parts and not others, combined with inconsistent surfaces. I am by no means saying that this is definitely a fake (I'm even going to have a shot at attributing it a bit later when I have more time), but that it definitely requires closer scrutiny.
Just to clarify what I said to @Collecting Nut, since I don't want people to think I was being mean, I never said that "no more than a couple of new posts per 24-hour period" is a rule. It's more of a customary tradition, based on consideration for others given the limitations of the 20-post front page here. I wouldn't expect a new poster to be aware of it -- even though it's actually been mentioned a half-dozen times before in the last month or so by various members (never before by me) -- which is exactly why I mentioned it. It was intended far more as a polite warning for the future (and I believe I was entirely polite) than a chastisement; it was inspired by the OP's statement that "I may have a few more later." Which anyone who looked carefully would realize was the only part of any of his posts that I quoted. So there was no need for him to get all upset, let alone for him to post less overall. Just not to post all his requests in one 24-hour period! I think it's perfectly OK, by the way, to post two or three identification requests together, combined in one post, which entirely solves the problem.
Those type of posts can easily become unwieldy, jumbled messes...it's always best to post just one ID request per post.
But that, of course, has disadvantages itself. I don't think combining, say, two requests together necessarily becomes jumbled and unwieldy. Most people are capable of holding two different things in their heads at the same time, even if more than that becomes a problem!
Snowflakes in May, who would have thunk it. Where has all the Common Sense gone ? When did sound advice become criticism ? Why are people so desperate to be a Victim ? The world has gone to S#*T.
