Nice coins. Tough guy Probus is really running through his opponent.

You found those metal detecting?! Do you search beaches? They are beautiful!

Look at his previous posts. He finds wonderful ancient coins all the time by metal detecting. He lives in Europe, obviously!

The Probus is a stunner. The top one is Decius; you can already see 'TRAIANVS DECIVS' along the top. ...A younger portrait than you usually see; no clue about the reverse.

...Yeah, to wallow in the obvious, it's an easy prototype of the 4th-c. 'fallen horseman' motif. With a resonant historical context, along the same lines. But, Yeah, Brilliant.

@galba68, after finally looking no further than an antiquated copy of Sear, I'm all the way to thinking you were closer than me about Hostilian. ...Or Herennius, as @Spaniard suggested. ...Thank you, for those of us showing up as late as I am, both were sons of Trajan Decius. Just takes some of us longer....
