Even if the mark is the same or similar, it didn't leave the mint that way. These different coins could have been pushed up against something in a similar manner, like a coin counting or coin rolling machine. Whatever, to make the same impression. It's just a damaged dime. It's a spender.
how can there be 3 dimes with marks in the same places be damaged . im a tool and die maker and i and i disagree
Are they EXACTLY the same marks, or "sorta look like" the same mark? The mint has a standardized process for making dies and coins. If you learn and understand the mints die making process you'll easily recognize why this cannot be an error. As it takes a lot of time and study to become a tool and die maker, it also takes time and study to understand the minting process. Many of the responses to this post are from members who have spent the time to understand this process just like you have spent the time to be qualified as a tool and die maker
The OP's coin is damaged. No one can change that. If you feel it's not damaged please explain how it was minted like that and why are there only 3 in existence?
There is a State Quarter that has a large number of dies that were damaged. A Mint employee damaged 2 dies. Yes it can be done.
Can i shear one here sorry for dropping on your covo but am new to the site and don't know how to really upload the photos

Think about the change makers that vendors used to carry on their belts. They but marks like this on millions of coins. It's a well known fact. Just damage.
