Doing a bunch of "shopping" for my type set this month. One thing I have noticed, checking values is that Reverse Proofs seem to increase value very quickly compared to other modern issues.. enough so that I am considering a full RP70 set for "investment" purposes... I have 4 now counting the Inn dollar I added last night. What do you guys think about this.. I know it was done to increase collection-sales.. but it seems to work very well for values.... whatcha think.... worth doing???
My new Inn attached as an example...

Could be a nice set, but not as an investment. In no way do I think a modern coin, RP or not, is investment grade

Sounds like a wonderful set but I don’t see it as an investment, just a collection.

As an investment I wouldn’t, that said the RPs are very popular overall and do have a great look. If you want to invest do stocks, if you just want a nice looking set you’d enjoy RPs could be it

You say that but we see more and more deluded garbage on youtube (which I skim through to monitor) and it seems these folk HAWK MS70 ASEs for bullion investing.

And obviously, the comments are... nutty..

I think the reverse proofs could be popular. I certainly like them but wouldn't get them slabbed.

Quite agree........lovely to look at, delightful to hold and collect, but nay to investing.

Some coins look really bad in reverse proof (at least to my eye). That one is sharp!

That's the one I got for my US Type. Same thing same grade. Looks like I paid $45 shipped for it a year ago. Was that good or bad?
