Are these genuine ? (1/2 and 2 R Potosi)

    Got them in Buenos Aires... didn't pay much as I'm not an expert in the area.

    They look OK to me.
    There are many so-called contemporary fakes of Lima and Potosi (like yours) colonial coins. But they have a softer, mushy strike. Yours appear worn, but not like the fakes.

    PS- I have bought coins in Buenos Aires too - many years ago, some nnice stuff too.

    Yes, you can get nice stuff there. I also bought some provincial coinage from Argentina.
