Hi everyone. Yesterday was my first ever show and it was the MSNS show. I had a lot of fun. My brother (stainless) and I got there at 10 in the morning. We walked around the smaller room, and looked at coins, then got to the bigger room and met Budgood and Jim M. My brother bought some ancients off of some dealers and some off of Budgood. at about 11:30 he took me to the this area for young coin collectors. I got free pizza, free punch, and free coins :eat:. They asked all of us questions and I got two right, I have one of the prizes from that below. Covert Coins and his son was there and we got to talk. We left a little early from that and walked around with Covert coins, and got to meet, Pennyguy (he sent me a cool 1999 proof nickel a few months ago that got me to learn about proof coins ), Jim M, and later that day we met Borgovan. I got to meet a few other dealers that my bro knew, and he bought even more ancients, so I did a little bit of sitting and looking at ancients with him. I got pictures of three of the things I got there, but I got about 10 coins total, including two barber dimes that I wanted but I have no pictures for..I love these, and I hope I can get back there for the next one. I got this from the Coin collectors questions for 17 and under: New Zealand Proof Set: My brother got me this . I really like this one: Laminated Planchet: And this is the coolest coin I own . I got this from another cointalk member, but I am not sure if I am allowed to say his name. But, I can't thank him enough for this. 1943 Steel Cent, PCGS MS-65, MY FIRST SLAB EVER, AND MY NICEST '43 CENT :
Hi all, sorry we were late from creating this, but he went to bed early last night (tired, lol) and I wanted him to help me make his thread. Hope y'all enjoy, He had a blast. We were both beat, after the show we went to the mall and I got a new phone that I desperatly needed, and he and my other brother got to see Santa . Taco Bells Chalupas were also good to us stainless
Hey 43 Cent, you've got one heck of a brother. The experiance of your first show along with the people that your brother has introduced you to is most invaluable. Good for you young fellow.....
43cent: Congradulations on your visiting a coin show. I'm sure your brother will take you to many more and buy you lots and lots and lots of coins. If not, report him here and we'll yell at him. Nice coins. I guess from your name you really like those 43 cents.
Nice meeting ya 43. My son thought you were cool also. Hope to see you guys at some other shows take care.
Hey 43cent, great show report. It was nice to meet you, and your big brother in-hand. Glad you enjoyed yourself, sounds like the MSNS folks really took good care of you YN's :thumb:
Hey 43, I can't tell, does your brother like ancients? Sounds like you had a great time. Gotta love the British Commonwealth stuff. It's a great series of coins to collect. I really like how the king or queen is on the front of the coins, and there is some unusual animal or native on the reverse. Quite a contrast! Anyway, I hope you stay with the hobby and it keeps you entertained for years to come!
43, it was nice to meet you at the show. I'm glad you were able to pick up some cool coins. I'm also glad to see you're not getting biased by your brother's love of ancient coins, and you're branching out on your own to find what it is that you like. Happy hunting!
welcome 43 to cointalk i can tell you injoyed the show my own son will be joining ct soon hes after getting the coin bug too:hail: dave
Hey 43 are you related to 50 Cents? Shows are fun aren't they? I love to look around. The time seems to fly by.
