The 2012 shows are unassigned for venue. If the show were held in Grand Rapids, rather than Detroit, would it make a difference to you?

Grand Rapids is an easy drive from Chicago and Detroit.
    Airlines fly in.
The town has all of the advantages of Detroit with none of the drawbacks.

Are you talking about the MSNS show (Michigan) show?

I would be very unlikely to attend in Grand Rapids, but I am biased because the current show is less than 10 miles from my home.

Probably not would attend and I expect a large amount of the Detroit area dealers would not attend either. However, I would attend if it were in Lansing.

I'll second Detroit area or Lansing for me. Just a matter of travel time. At least I don't have the drive that covertcoins has. LOL.

As to Grand Rapids, I would attend, it would more that double my travel time however. The key is I would still attend.

I would skip Grand Rapids. Lansing (about an hour) would be nice. Detroit isnt that bad of a drive for me, about 80 minutes. Ann Arbor would be an ok location as well.

If it moves to one of those cities were it is an hour plus away, I wont go. It's fine were it's at, and deaborn isn't exactly Detroit, so I am fine with it.

I heard most/all of the current board talking about a potential move. The last time the topic came up, 50+ member dealers came to the board meeting, asked to be heard (as is their right as members) and said that if the show moved or moved dates that they wouldn't be there.

Dearborn is a great location, unless you live by Grand Rapids. Easy access to Metro and other local airports, easy drive from many heavily-populated local suburbs.

Grand Rapids, on the other hand, is over two hours from my house. If MSNS were stupid enough to move to Grand Rapids I'd call up the Hyatt the same day and start booking my own show to replace it - and I'd get the bulk of the dealers. It'd be suicide.

And since the current MSNS board seems not to be peopled by idiots, we can look forward to many more years in Dearborn.
