For the past two years I have been trying to put together a golden toned buffalo nickel set in EF to UNC. I've found all 1913 t-1 and t-2 and about 10 others. Has anyone ever seen an entire date and mint mark set of golden toned buffalos and is it possible?
I'll soon take pics of my toned buffs to show everyone, thanks for the reply. I have to say it's been difficult to find them toned simularly within that grade range. But that's the fun of the hunt.
I have got a few of them also. I love the ones with the light golden toning where the luster just sticks out in the light toning. That will be a very good set once you complete it. Last saturday at the dealer he had a collection that included a couple of them - slightly darker than I like, but the ones I saw were beauties.
Yes, that light golden tone is exactly the ones I look for Mark. The darker ones just don't have any luster.
