Yes, but no difference in concept, at all. The 4 posts I referred as other examples were members specifically cleaning the coins. Again, no difference in concept, at all, and no friendly don't do that advice as a response from other members.

I am not supportive of friendly or otherwise admonishment of a member because a post is not within a popularity margin.

I'm not asking that question. I'm asking if you see the doubling or another year

I'm not laughing at it, I respect your opinions but I'm trying to help you avoid more ridicule... You've already gotten way more than your fair share on here and I hate that, (I'm sure I've given you some of it and I apologize for that)
We all need to be a little more accepting, it's just that cleaning coins is a topic that is very volatile and can lead to a lot of bad feelings which is why I suggested that you not mention it again. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as rude and unhelpful but I really am trying to help... :sorry:

If you don't want to be ridiculed like William was saying earlier, here is what you do... Stop posting things saying "I think it's this, it looks obvious" or "is this an error?"

To the people on here, that is no reason at all to post it. It doesn't even make sense, as when we find an error, we have to look at varieties online, and it certainly isn't usually just plain obvious when you look at it. (Especially for double die!)

You seem to not know what doubling is at all. I doubt you've ever taken the time to go and find out about it, and you keep posting pocket change. I don't think I can remember a single error you've posted.

All you need to do is go to variety Vista or wexler or whatever and look at the varieties to see if yours matches. If you find a match, then you can post it, and at least we will have something to go off of. But you've had us do the work every time for you, and you can't seem to understand after all this time.

I hope you decide to do your own research when you find something. That's the main reason people don't seem to like your posts. (Not including this threads original post)

Zinc-flavoured Lincoln Cents have a thin layer of copper over a zinc core. When you see those dark spots, it usually means that the outer coat is breaking down ,which is followed by rapid breakdown of the zinc core. Leave that penny out on your patio, exposed to the elements and it'll eventually become unrecognizable.

Indeed so...and that's more reason to leave them in their natural state...to learn to appreciate their natural color(s) that represent the age and history they've seen...maybe care, etc. To subject and totally change such originality to a coin is like erasing it's history, let alone value. Moreover, why would you want to come on this forum and flaunt such actions, time and again, in a manner that goes so overwhelmingly against the grain of most good numismatics and numismaticians...? I confess, I don't understand...the logic, etc. I'm afraid I'm not of the "if it feels good, do it" generation.
